SURROUND SOUND CUTS OUT SPLIT SECOND TV
I think this is either an inherent problem with the Bluesky TV box or simply a bug in the FW.Įdit: as a note - the audio drops did not occur with the previous Bluesky TV box. which sometimes requires a power cycle to enable the change in settings. I just got some new speakers, and so I have been trying to calibrate listening modes, etc. This problem seems to trigger more easily anytime there are input changes (whether frequent or simply on another input for a lengthy period of time) or I have to power cycle my A/V Receiver. To do this, on your Apple TV go to Settings > Video and Audio > Audio Format and turn on Change Format. If surround sound isnt working, try changing the audio format to Dolby Digital 5.1. Also, when this problem occurs, the Bluesky TV box does not go into sleep mode despite the setting being enabled. By default, Apple TV uses the best audio format available.

The issue is only resolved by unplugging the Bluesky box altogether - I've tested a new HDMI cable, and last night when it occurred (twice), I connected the Bluesky TV box directly to my TV to entirely bypass my A/V Receiver, and that did not result in regaining a visual/audio signal (which tells me that it's still the box that's the problem) - pressing the "display" button on my TV's remote (not the Bluesky remote) showed that the resolution only registering at 720p. games where a split-second advantage is crucial to coming out on top. Also Im stupid and this wouldnt require multiple devices to even be connected to happen so yay me. Second, check all connections to the TV from the box, you may have a bad cable if reboot doesnt help. Experience cutting-edge power with the newly released Intel Core i7 processor. The only thing I could possibly think is if you have multiple audio devices plugged in and whatever youre currently using for audio disconnects for some reason and so it switches to another output device. Incidentally, despite replacing the first Bluesky TV box I received on Wednesday August 23, it has apparently not resolved the issue of it partially losing its signal (there is enough of a signal being sent that my A/V Receiver or TV isn't saying that there's no input detected). That will reboot the boxes and hopefully fix the issue. When it happens, audio is lost for about 1 second. This process can sound simplistic, but surround sound offers a superior experience. Most of this audio comes from the source file, programmed, and decoded when played. Every channel goes through a different speaker positioned at various points in the room. The issue isn't occurring with any of the other devices connected to my A/V receiver. Surround sound, to put it at its basic form, is the use of multiple sound channels. We have a good speed of internet hookup - and since the video is fine, I don't see how networking is likely to be the problem.Got a new Bluesky TV box on Wednesday to fix an issue I was having with my previous one, and the new one is experiencing very frequent audio drops.

I'm wondering if this has perhaps been caused by a recent software update or something of that nature. The video is working just fine - no hesitation or drop-outs at all. One of the older ones started to have this symptom of getting brief audio drop-outs - maybe less than 1/2 a second - happening regularly about once every 5 to 10 seconds.
